HORSES ARE SPECIAL

Horses have been around
Since the beginning of time
Some are rough and tough
And others are very refined

For millions of years
They just roamed around
But of course, back then
There were no cities or towns

And then one day
Man appeared on a horse’s back
And we all know what happened
A few hundred years after that

So now man could travel
And go far and wide
Don’t kill the beast
For now man can ride

Because of the horse
The world did change
The beautiful creature called horse
Would carry man and be tamed

Because of the horse
Man invented the wheel
Now just think about that
That is a big deal

He has died on our battlefields
And he’s pulled our plow
Would he do it again?
If we asked him now?

He has given us so much
But we all seem to forget
I wonder now
Does he have any regrets?

Now let’s give him a good life
The best it can be
Remember, because of us
Never again will he be free

So let’s take good care of him
And forever go to bat
Remember, horses are special
But of course, we all knew that!
